![]() ![]() Post-parade activities are hosted in partnership with Historic Huguenot Street, the New Paltz Rotary Club, the Town of New Paltz, and the Village of New Paltz. Activities will conclude immediately at 7:30 PM. From 6:30 - 7:30 PM, folks may enjoy live music, fun Halloween themed photo opportunities, delish food from local food trucks, and more. Participants will be invited to collect candy bars and apples from the New Paltz Rotary Club across the street from the DuBois Fort Visitor Center. The jubilant jaunt will cross Route 32 with the support of the New Paltz Police Department and continue past the iconic Jean Hasbrouck House. This beloved community tradition, which begins at the New Paltz Middle School Parking Lot (196 Main Street) at 6 PM on Halloween night, will make its way down Main Street, veering right onto North Front Street at The Elting Memorial Library. Each night, four tour times will be available. ![]() Haunted Huguenot Street will run from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Friday and Saturday nights, from October 14th-October 29th. Lastly, guests will step back in time into the dining room of the Old Fort Restaurant where they’ll meet an old friend eager to impart lessons learned from the town’s storied past. Next visitors will witness firsthand the long-fabled curse on the Deyo House, coming face-to-face with one of its most mysterious hauntings. First, the 1717 reconstructed French Church, where we will meet the 1730 New Paltz schoolmaster whose spirit haunts the village until his dying wish is granted. The tour will take visitors into three historic structures. Led by spirits of the New Paltz community, happy haunts, and ghoulish ghosts, this journey will guide guests through some of our former residents’ forgotten pasts.
